Deprive citizenship if the grounds are established

We call on the Ministry of Interior, MOKAS, Cyprus Police and the Law Office to conduct a review. If it is established that citizenship was obtained through fraud, false representation or concealment of a material fact, initiate deprivation proceedings under section 113 of the Civil Registry Law 2002 (Law 141(I)/2002).

1. Controller

The controller is the Citizens’ Initiative “Deprivation of Cypriot Citizenship of Egor Rubtsov”. Data-protection requests and withdrawal of consent: [email protected].

2. Data we process

Full name, email address, stated signatory status, consent records and, if provided, a voluntary comment. Minimal technical data may be processed temporarily to protect the form against abuse and duplicate submissions.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Data are processed to record and verify signatures, protect the integrity of the register and prepare a formal submission to the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus. The primary legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where participation may reveal political opinions, processing relies on explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. Limited security logs may be processed on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f).

4. Required and optional data

Name, email, signatory status and the mandatory consent are required to register a signature. A comment and consent to public display are optional.

5. Public display

A name, abbreviated signature or stated status is displayed only where separate explicit consent has been given. Email addresses are never published.

6. Recipients

Access is limited to authorised administrators and necessary technical service providers bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. On formal submission, relevant signatory data may be provided to the Ministry of Interior, MOKAS, Cyprus Police, the Law Office of the Republic and other competent public authorities within the scope of the petition.

The organisations shown under “With support from” do not automatically receive signatory data merely by supporting the initiative.

7. Retention and security

Core signatory data are retained until the campaign ends and for no longer than 12 months after formal submission, after which they are deleted or anonymised unless longer retention is required by law or for the defence of legal claims. Security logs are retained for no longer than 90 days. Appropriate access controls, secure transmission and storage protections are applied.

8. International transfers

The signatory register is not intended to be transferred outside the EU/EEA. Where third-party web resources are loaded, those providers may receive ordinary browser technical data. Any transfer subject to Chapter V GDPR must rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards.

9. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction, exercise portability where applicable, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

10. Supervisory authority

You may lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus: dataprotection.gov.cy ↗.

11. Cookies and automated decisions

No advertising or marketing cookies are used. No automated decision-making or profiling producing legal or similarly significant effects for signatories is carried out.

1. Operator and purpose

The site is operated by the Citizens’ Initiative “Deprivation of Cypriot Citizenship of Egor Rubtsov” to inform the public, publish sources and collect signatures for a submission to the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus. It is not an official government website and does not replace a judicial, police, prosecutorial or administrative determination.

2. Nature of the claims and sources

Official records, legislation and public-authority decisions are distinguished from media and other publications containing allegations that require independent verification. Signing supports a request for investigation and lawful action if the relevant grounds are established; it is not a declaration that any person has been proven guilty.

3. Eligibility and authenticity

Signatories must be at least 18 years old. One signature must correspond to one real person. Impersonation, automated mass submission, artificial inflation of the count or interference with the integrity of the register is prohibited.

4. Verification and moderation

The Initiative may carry out reasonable technical checks and exclude clearly fictitious, duplicate, automated or otherwise unreliable submissions. Voluntary comments containing threats, unlawful content or unnecessary sensitive personal data may be withheld or removed.

5. Support of organisations

The Initiative was created with the support of Ένωση Συντακτών Κύπρου and Δημοκρατικό Κόμμα (ΔΗΚΟ), as shown in the footer. Their emblems and links are used in that context.

6. Intellectual property and external material

Original site material may be reused only as permitted by applicable law or with the relevant rights holder’s permission. Third-party marks, emblems, photographs, documents and publications remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used for identification, documentation, information or in connection with stated support, depending on context.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and applicable European Union law, without limiting mandatory rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.
